You learn to introduce yourself, to understand the introductions of others, to form questions on
personal subjects (such as “Where do you live?” and “What do you have?”), and to answer such
questions. In terms of vocabulary, this constitutes around 600 to 850 words. This is a level at
which you take Italian language classes for around 1 to 2 months.
A2
ABC de’ Conti – Intensive Italian Language Course
Around 100 to 200
hours
You learn to understand and use phrases and expressions concerning familiar subjects
(for example, family, shopping, companions, places, and work). In terms of vocabulary,
this constitutes around 700 to 1200 words. This is a level at which you take Italian language classes
for around 2 to 3 months.
B1
ABC de’ Conti – Private Lessons
Around 200 to 400
hours
You learn to utilize appropriate words at ease in scenes with which you come into contact in daily
life or while traveling in Italy. This is a level at which you take Italian language classes for around
4 to 5 months.
B2
ABC de’ Conti – Private Lessons
Around 500 to 600
hours
You learn to clearly express what you want to say in a broader range of daily life scenes and
also during research and work. This is a level at which you take Italian language classes for around
6 months to 1 year. Students who pass this course are exempted from taking Italian language
examinations when entering an Italian university.
C1
ABC de’ Conti – Private Lessons
Around 700 to 1000
hours
You learn to communicate what you want to say in not only daily life situations, but also in a
public or work scene, using the appropriate Italian language for the situation at hand, and to be
able to negotiate either verbally or in writing with Italian organizations and enterprises.
This is a level at which you take Italian language classes for around 1 to 1.5 years.
C2
ABC de’ Conti – Private Lessons
Around 1000 to 2000
hours
You learn to communicate not only in public and private situations, but also in the workplace.
You are not expected to achieve abilities equal to those of native speakers, but you gain the
necessary linguistic power to have a perfect command of the Italian language.
